Brendan Frederick is a 32-year-old executive, writer and editor who has been working in print and online media since 2002. Currently, Brendan serves as the Vice President of Content Operations for Complex Media, where he has worked since 2008. He oversees all aspects of the company’s owned-and-operated editorial operations, including Complex Magazine and the 10 verticals within Complex.com (Style, Music, Pop Culture, Sneakers, Art & Design, Tech, Sports, City Guide, Rides, Video Games), plus Four Pins, First We Feast, Pigeons & Planes, Do Androids Dance?, Sneaker Report, and Sole Collector.
Brendan previously served as the editor-in-chief of both Mass Appeal Magazine and Scratch Magazine, and also co-created XXL Magazine’s website in 2006. As a freelance writer, his work has also appeared in publications like Vibe, The Fader, Missbehave, Brooklyn Bound, and Hip-Hop Soul. He lives in Brooklyn, NY, where he maintains a computer with an MP3 database of every song ever.
